Our Montreal crews work on 8 to 20 storey residential towers delivered in phases. The sequence is set before the crew reaches the floor: materials go up the day before, openings are measured, and the foreman knows the expected pace.
You work in crews of two to four installers, one floor at a time, with the same foreman from the first day of the project to the last.
Main duties
- Hanging drywall on steel stud and wood framing
- Cutting and fitting around openings, ducts and electrical boxes
- Installing firestopping and acoustic membranes per specification
- Checking levels and plumb before taping
- Keeping the work area clean and managing waste
Requirements
- Valid CCQ competency card, journeyman or apprentice
- Construction site health and safety course (ASP)
- Multi-unit residential experience an asset
- Able to read a floor plan and a wall section
